Hrithik Roshan in Bhuj, starts shooting for ‘Mohenjo Daro’


On Monday, 26th of January, Hrithik Roshan reached Bhuj, Gujarat along with the entire cast and crew of ‘Mohenjo Daro’. Ashutosh Gowariker, who has previously directed Hrithik in ‘Jodhaa-Akbar’, will be directing this movie. This much anticipated love story will be the Bollywood debut of actress Pooja Hegde.  

The shooting for Ashutosh’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ was delayed due to many reasons. According to reports, the pre production work of this movie has been going on. Shooting for the movie will commence on the 27th of January and the first schedule will be shot in Bhuj. ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is a tale set in the Indus Valley Civilisation. Pooja who has featured in many southern movies will play the female lead in this flick. Kabir Bedi will have a pivotal role in ‘Mohenjo Daro’ as the villain.  

This film’s team will consist of many renowned names of both Bollywood and Hollywood. Celebrated fashion designer Neeta Lulla will put together ensembles for the cast. The legendary A.R. Rehman is composing the scores for this epic tale of love. VFX supervisor Karen Goulekas and Hollywood action director Glenn Boswell who have won several accolades for their work will also be a part of this team.

The official ‘Mohenjo Daro’ page on Twitter posted, welcoming Karen and Glenn to the team. The post about Glenn read, “Congratulations to Glenn Boswell on winning the SAG Award for the Best Stunt Ensemble for his movie ‘Unbroken’.” The post for Karen was made in September of 2014 and said, “Everyone please welcome the Award Winning VFX supervisor Karen to the team of ‘Mohenjo Daro’.”  

Hrithik will be earning a sum of Rs. 50 crore from this movie. The producers have agreed to the demands of this Bollywood heartthrob. Since, he will not be taking his share from the profits made by the movie. Apparently Mr.Roshan will also be paid extra on daily basis in case the shooting takes longer than planned.      

After ‘Jodhaa-Akbar’, ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ will be Ashutosh Gowariker’s fourth period film. It will be another massive budget movie for Ashutosh after his superhit movie ‘Swades’.                               

Hrithik was last seen on the silver screen in 2014 in the super hit movie ‘Bang Bang’. All of Hrithik’s fans will have to wait till 12th August, 2016 to see what wonders the actor director duo of Ashutosh and Hrithik will come up with, in ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
