Hit-and-run case: Salman Khan on his way to the court

Today is the hearing of Salman Khan’s hit and run case and the actor is likely to appear in the Sessions Court. He was asked to appear in court today for the fresh hearing of the 1993 hit and run case. Salman Khan who has just returned from US on Saturday after health check-up will leave to the court after sometime.

The case was transferred to the Session Court charging the actor with a more serious charge of ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’. Today will be the first hearing of the case after the matter was transferred to the Sessions Court.

Sessions Judge UB Hejib scheduled the hearing today, 25 March 2012 and Salman Khan is most likely to appear in court. For the first time Salman would appear at the Sessions Court after the Bandra Magistrate transferred the matter to the Sessions Court referring the matter to be very serious.

At first the the court asked Salman Khan to appear on March 11, 2013 but as the actor did not appear as the matter was yet to assign to any judge.

On September 28, 2002, Salman run his Land Cruiser over a pavement outside a bakery in suburban Bandra which killed one person sleeping in the pavement and injuring four others. And now a very serious offence is conferred on the actor `culpable homicide not amounting to murder`. If he is found guilty in the matter then he will subject to 10 years imprisonment. Salman and five others are also charged with blackbuck killing case and the hearing of this case is also around the corner.

After Sanjay Dutt, now it’s Salman Khan who has been charged with a serious offence. It seems the black cloud over the Bollywood actors are not moving away.
