Hit-and-run case: Salman Khan arrives in Mumbai for the final verdict


After 13 years, Salman Khan’s fate in hit-and-run case will be decided. The superstar who was out of Mumbai shooting in Kashmir for Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ took a flight to Mumbai and flew back. As the actor landed at Mumbai airport, fans surrounded him. His way was cleared by security guards.

Today, a Sessions Court will decide if the actor is guilty of 2002 infamous hit-and-run case. Evidences against the actor were strong. Blood samples were testified, doctors, security guard, eye-witnesses, police were testified and most of the evidences proves that the actor is guilty with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. While the defense produced all the proof to the court, claiming that Salman Khan was not at the steering, instead his driver was at the wheels. If convicted, the actor will be jailed for minimum 10 years.

In September 28, 2002, he runs his SUV into a bakery killing one person and injuring three others.

Rs 200 crore is riding on Salman Khan, the reigning Bollywood star. His film, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ slated for Diwali release. He partially wrapped up shooting Sooraj Bajratya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, opposite Sonam Kapoor. He has three sequels in the line ‘No Entry’, ‘Kick’ and ‘Dabangg’.
