Harshaali Malhotra bags her first award for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’


Child actor Harshaali who played the role of the little girl from Pakistani in Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has bagged the ‘Best Child Artiste’ award at the ‘Indian Television Academy Awards’ for her amazing performance in the film. Director Kabir Khan also received the ‘Best Director’ award for the movie which was a runaway hit.

Kabir Khan took to Twitter and shared an adorable selfie with Harshaali. “Our little Munni aka Harshalee wins her 1st award for #BajrangiBhaijaan at ITA Awards,” he tweeted along with the picture.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ became the biggest opener and top grossing film after it released to an enormous response at the theatres on July 17. While Salman is already a superstar, Harshaali stole the show with her adorable looks.

Harshaali who played Munni, a speech-impaired girl left everyone speechless by her stupendous acting without any dialogue, but conveying through her eyes and expressions. She grabbed everyone’s attention and became a star overnight. Kabir Khan even felt that she resembled Katrina Kaif a lot.

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is said to be Salman Khan’s best ever. It told a heart touching story of Pawan Chaturvedi who comes across a mute Pakistani child who is abandoned in India. Pawan takes it upon himself to take the girl back to her home across the border.

The film also starred Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
