‘Happy New Year’ is the highest grosser of 2014, earns Rs 350 crore


Farah Khan’s directed and Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’ again hit the bulls eye. The film became the highest grosser of 2014 with a massive earning of Rs 350 crore. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, HNY crossed Rs 350 crore gross box office collections worldwide.

It made Rs 200 crore net at the Indian box-office and box office and collected 150 core so far  overseas, totalling to Rs 350 croreworlwide collection.

Despite mixed reviews, the film broke the opening day collection of Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’, Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Bang Bang’.

Speaking on the success of the film, Red Chillies Entertainment CEO Venky Mysore had earlier said, "Happy New Year has set new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience."

Directed by Farah Khan, ‘Happy New Year’ released last Diwali is a multi-starrer movie featuring Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in pivotal roles.
