Hamari Adhuri Kahani: Vidya, Emraan get closer in the title track

Along with the trailer comes the first song from the film, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’. The song is a title track of the film crooned by melodious Arijit Singh and written by Rashmi Virag and composed by Jeet Ganguli. The number is soothing and it shows the pain of the tortured Vidya Balan and how she finds love again in Emraan Hashmi’s shoulder.

The song shows how Vidya was tortured in the hand of her mentally ill husband Rajkummar Rao and how she gets out of the troubled marriage and finds love again. The song is soulful and it narrates Vidya’s pain and finding love again. The song is sure to be one of the chartbusters.

"Music is the soul of 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani'. The songs are integral part of the film and I don't think there is a better way to describe the film than the title track," said Suri, of 'Ek Villain' fame.

He believes the music of the film brings out the essence of the different situations that the characters go through.

Emraan Hashmi agrees with his director.

"When I first heard this song, it got me teary eyed as I believe somewhere we all have had a 'adhuri kahani' with someone. I don't have one favourite from the album. All the songs are unique and will touch your soul in one way or the other," said the actor.

Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, the film is slated to release on June 12.

Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Humari Adhuri Kahani’ is written by Mahesh Bhatt. The story is based on true story of Bhatt's parents, Nanabhai Bhatt, Shirin Mohammad Ali and his stepmother.
