Gurmeet Ram Rahim will contest ‘Bigg Boss 9’ on a condition


Self-proclaimed godwoman Radhe Maa may have denied giving her consent to participate in the ninth edition of ‘Bigg Boss’, but godman-turned-actor Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singhji Insaan has confirmed that he has been approached by the makers of the controversial reality show.

The Dera Saccha Sauda leader who made news with his film ‘MSG: Messenger of God’ is back again with its sequel ‘MSG 2’ which is set to release on September 18. Speaking at the music launch of the film on Wednesday (Sept 9), he confirmed that ‘Bigg Boss’ makers have indeed approached him, but he has put forth certain conditions to enter the show.    

“Yes, I've been approached to appear on the show. But I asked them if they allow me to exit the house for 2-3 hours every day to meet my followers then I can think for it. Still nothing is finalised,” the Dera chief said.

Controversial godwoman Radhe Maa who was speculated to be on the show disappointed ‘Bigg Boss’ fans when she posted a statement on her official Facebook account denying her participation in the show. The statement cautioned the viewers to ignore the rumours spread by ‘unscrupulous and atheists’.

Earlier, ‘Makdee’ actress Shweta Basu Prasad, actor-producer Uday Chopra, model-actress Mandana Karimi, Prachi Desai and Gaurav Gera also denied contesting the show.

This year’s ‘Bigg Boss’ is themed ‘Double Trouble’ and Salman Khan will be hosting the show once again.

‘Bigg Boss’ is the Indian version of British television reality show ‘Big Brother’. The show involves celebrity contestants locked up in a mansion for three months under constant camera surveillance.
