GQ Awards 2017: Celebs who turned heads with their style quotient

Almost all celebrities take great effort to put their best foot forward at every glamorous event, but not every time is one able to make an impression with his/her style statement. The recently held GQ Best Dressed Awards was one such glitzy event where Bollywood stars marked their glamorous presence. The eighth edition of the star-studded event was held last weekend (June 3) at JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai’s Juhu.

Handsome father-son duo Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan, who graced the cover of the June issue of the men’s fashion magazine, along with Arjun Kapoor turned up at the event in their best looks. Several others, including Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Jackie Shroff and son Tiger, Shraddha Kapoor, Sooraj Pancholi, Purab Kohli, Shamita Shetty, Mandira Bedi, Richa Chadda, Shruti Haasan, Yami Gautam among many others were spotted. Here’s a low-down of some of the many stars who impressed with their simple, but elegant and stylish look.

Sidharth Malhotra looked dapper in a steel grey suit and a black designer shirt buttoned zig-zag. He teamed it with a pair of black formal shoes and looked hot as ever.

Varun Dhawan went semi-formal and sported a military-style dark blue jacket over black trousers.

Saiyami Kher, the light-eyed beauty who debuted last year with ‘Mirzya’, rocked a simple yet sexy black strapless gown. She accessorised with only a wrist-watch and her black sandals with high, sequined heels were unmissable.

Harshvardhan Kapoor, who also made his debut opposite Saiyami in ‘Mirzya’ took a semi-casual route and wore a grey tee beneath a blue suit with stipe patterns. He wore white sneakers with blue stripes to go with the look.

Anil Kapoor looked handsome as ever in a copper hued blazer and grey trousers and white shirt, complete with a tie and brown formal shoes.

Sonal Chauhan, best known for her role in 2008 film ‘Jannat’, looked pretty in nude pink separates and matching pumps. She wore diamond studs, red-lips and did her hair in a ponytail with centre-parting.

Radhika Apte looked sultry in a mustard yellow calf-length velvety dress with black lace on the neckline. She wore funky danglers and gave a wet look to her hair and upped the look with strappy golden heels.
