Glam gals no competition for Sush

Sushmita SenBollywood babes beware! Sushmita Sen 'Hai Na'.
After adding a sizzle to Farah Khan's directorial debut, the former Miss Universe says she's left the competition far behind...
..."How can you even compare me with newcomers like Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley and others? They have only just entered the film industry and have miles to go before they can catch up with me.

It's a mistake to think that I am suffering as an actress because people no longer see me as a sex symbol. I have evolved as an artiste and moved up in life. Everyone in Bollywood undergoes this change - while the new girls may enjoy the sex symbol tag today, they too will grow as performers and gladly have someone else take over their mantle.

But very few heroines are as ambitious as I am. I have an insatiable appetite for success and the hunger's only increased after 'Main Hoo Na' did so well at the box office. Now I am greedy for more such opportunities to make my mark," gushes tinseltown's Sen-sational star.

Sushmita, who will take on reigning heartthrob Kareena Kapoor in her next film 'Bewafa - The Unfaithful', says she's looking forward to the challenge.

"The fact that Kareena is believed to enjoy a certain proximity to director Sunil Darshan doesn't bother me. Even supposing Sunilji was to be somewhat biased, I would still emerge with a powerful performance because no filmmaker can afford to ignore his interests. My acting and my presence are assets that one simply cannot disregard," she insists.

Known for outspoken views on subjects close to her heart, Sush dismisses any rivalry with doe-eyed beauty Aishwarya Rai.

According to her: "Competition certainly exists in the industry but to say that I am directly contending with someone else for the top spot, is wrong."
