Rekha to romance Ghazal singer Talat Aziz in 'Fitoor'

Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’ is very much in news now-a-days because of the interesting story line, the star casts and the exotic locations. A very interesting fact about the film came into forefront that veteran actress Rekha will romance talented ghazal singer Talat Aziz in ‘Fitoor’. The shooting of the film is going in Kashmir.

Says a source close to the project, "Aziz has been signed on to play a high profile diplomat from Pakistan, a key character in the film. He will be seen wooing Rekha."

The singer is already on board and he has shot few scenes. "He has been given an authentic and interesting look for the role. He has shot a few scenes with Rekha and their chemistry is quite good. As of now, we won't be able to reveal whether his character is inspired by an actual person. But, it is definitely going to be appealing", adds a source.

Incidentally, Aziz has lent his voice for Rekha's iconic film 'Umrao Jaan'. Confirming the news, the singer states, "It is true that I am playing a diplomat from across the border and have a romantic role opposite Rekha."

‘Fitoor’ directed by Abhishek Kapoor of ‘Rock On’ and ‘Kai Po Che’ is a modern take on Charles Dickens' ‘The Great Expectations’. In the film, Rekha will be playing a character inspired by its famous troublemaker Miss Havisham.

Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film will see Aditya, playing a Kashmiri boy, Noor while Katrina will be seen as his love interest Firdaus, and Rekha plays the begum.

Well, it would be really interesting to see Talat Aziz pairing opposite evergreen Rekha.
