Freed on bail, Salman Khan to resume ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ shoot


Workaholic Salman Khan will resume Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ shoot today. Skipping the film shoot in the mid-way, he flew from Kashmir for the trial and now again he is flying to Kashmir to resume the shoot which he has left half-way for the Wednesday hearing.

Salman Khan heaved a sigh of relief as he received bail from High Court. His lawyers will now work on the next course of action. However, briefly relived Salman Khan on reaching home in the evening, he waved to his thousands of fans thronged outside his galaxy apartment.  He greeted his fans with a wave, salute and namaste.    

"All those who prayed for and supported me thank u meherbani shukriya," the actor later tweeted.

Mr Khan was convicted in 2002 hit-and-run case. He was sentenced five years of rigorous punishment for killing one and injuring four others when he ran his SUV over the street dwellers. He was found guilty in culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Session court has sentenced him five years imprisonment while High Court extended his bail application and he was released after paying Rs 30,000 bond.

His next hearing is scheduled in June. Since his conviction on Wednesday, Bollywood's stars kept in and out of Khan’s residence to express their support. Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha, Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta and many more stars including politicians were spotted outside Khan's residence.

Touted to be the biggest release of this year, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan, directed by Kabir Khan  features Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui apart from Salman Khan. Te movie is slated to release on July 17.
