First Look: Saif Ali Khan is unrecognisable as Naga Sadhu in ‘Hunter’

The first look of Saif Ali Khan in ‘Hunter’ was released and the actor is almost unrecognisable in the avatar of a Naga Sadhu. Saif donned a kohl eyes, dreadlocks and messy beard. He tied his hair with bandana and donned a front-open jacket and dhoti pants type of dress.

Saif was spotted at Mumbai's Filmistan studio. His look is inspired from Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow.

Set in 1780, the film shows Saif as a failed Naga sadhu, who has strong view of revenge.

Talking about the physical transformation for 'Hunter', Saif had said in an earlier interview, ""I even got my ears pierced for the role, which I was worried about initially. My hair has grown a lot. It bothered me throughout summer, when I was shooting in Rajasthan's sweltering heat. It took me 40 minutes to two hours sometimes to just get into hair and make-up for the part."

He added, "My part in Hunter is that of a person who is an animal at heart a flat-footed wild fellow."

Saif was shooting for an action sequence. A source quoted as saying, "Saif kicked off work around 9 am and the shoot went on till late evening. For the ongoing schedule, Rajasthan has been recreated in the studio and he is currently shooting an action sequence."

In his DNA interview, Saif had said the revenge war drama is about the battle of power between two brothers: "It's about a fight between two brothers and my character, who's almost like an animal, fights for his rights." Saif also had to train in sword fighting for his role: "As the story is set against a war backdrop, I had to learn sword fighting and different forms of action. There's a lot of post-production and VFX work involved in this project as it will have many war sequences”.

The film is set to hit the screens next year.
