First Look: John Abraham rocks as spectacled cop in ‘Batla House’

After the stupendous success of ‘Parmanu’ and ‘Satyamev Jayate’, John Abraham is back with another mind-blowing script, ‘Batla House’ based on a real-life incident of the highly publicised shootout in Delhi.

The first look shows John Abraham in the uniform of a cop looking serious.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the new poster of the film and wrote, “Team #SatyamevaJayate join hands again... First look poster of Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and John Abraham’s #BatlaHouse... Directed by Nikkhil Advani... Starts mid-Oct 2018... Will be filmed in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nepal... 15 Aug 2019 release #IndependenceDay.”

Speaking about the film, John said, "Being recognized for films like Madras Cafe and Parmanu, I automatically gravitate towards scripts like Batla House, however, that also means that the script needs to live upto those standards. With Batla House, Ritesh blew me over with his precision in the story telling as well as the emotional roller coaster of the characters. I am truly excited to bring this story alive to audiences."

The film will go on floor by mid-October and will release on 15th August, 2019. It will clash at the box-office with Rajummar Rao’s ‘Made in China’ and Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra’, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
