First look: Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Madaari’ is intriguing with shades of grey

The first look of Irrfan Khan from his upcoming movie ‘Madaari’ and the first poster of the film had been released. Both the images are quite intriguing with the theme of grey.

The ‘Jazbaa’ actor gave a peek of his look in the film on his Facebook page. Irrfan looks mysterious dressed in jeans and a grey kurta with a similar colour shawl wrapped around his neck and a bandana on his forehead. He is seen holding a pair of shoes in one hand and a rod in the other.

Irrfan released the first poster of the film on Twitter, writing, “Sshhh... Desh so raha hain ! @madaariofficial @Shaileshrsingh.”

The poster has the actor’s face emerging from amidst a cityscape that is tilted. This image is also in grey hues. The title is written horizontally and comes with the tagline, ‘Sshhh... Desh so raha hain’.

The film is said to be a social thriller directed by Nishikanth Kamat who has previously given thrillers like ‘Drishyam’, ‘Dombivli Fast’ and ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’. The film has been shot all over the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Dehradhun, Rajasthan and Shimla.

While the details of the film have been kept under wraps, it is said that Irrfan will be seen in the role of an emotional father who loses his son in a bridge collapse and struggles for his justice and also for the affected families. He has a mysterious streak to his character. It also stars Jimmy Shergill as a CBI officer.

The director had recently revealed that the film is inspired by the Saki Naka bridge collapse that happened in Mumbai 2012.
