First day First show reactions to L.O.C.

LOC KargilA magnanimous movie, a colossal cast, a historic event, a massive runtime, a record length song!

Exorbitant ticket prices at window, sky-high black rates and housefull boards (first week sold out)!! That's the scene outside...
...Eros theatre, Churchgate, where LOC releases one day in advance on Thursday cashing in on the Christmas holiday.

But that's just one side of the coin. What do the real judges, the audiences, have to say? Did anybody say “Too many cooks spoil the broth?” Certainly not in this case! After all the hype, LOC does live up too its expectations.

“Bharat mata ki jai” gushes a man in typical filmi style. That's the momentary patriotism infused by this Dutta's tribute to the Kargil martyrs, which shows on his face. Of the multi starcast Ajay Devgan grabs the major applause. The next on the list are Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt. With a 25 plus starcast, not everybody gets a chance to display histrionics. Nevertheless Dutta hasn't wasted his leading men. The females don't have much of a scope, but that wasn't expected from a war film either.

The only element that the audience yearned for in LOC, very strangely, was - Sunny Deol. As one guy complained, “film aachi hai, magar agar Sunny hota to jo aadha kilo ka wajan hai woh ek kilo ka ho jaata”. Sounds interesting!

Even the four hour plus runtime (yes you read that right!) doesn't test the viewers' patience. That's what the audience had to say. Now, YOU got to see it to believe it!
