Fire breaks out on sets of Big B’s new show; disrupts shoot

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan who is gearing up for his upcoming show ‘Aaj Ki Raat Zindagi’ was shooting for the maiden episode of the show when a fire broke out on the sets and disrupted the shoot. The cause of the minor blaze was said to be a studio light which got overheated.

The shooting for the show had to be stopped for around 45 minutes due to the incident which happened on Friday, October 9. Big B who was on the sets took control of the situation and tried to calm the crew members and others who were present on the spot.

“Amitabh was onstage. He calmed everyone down. After controlling the fire, everyone present on the stage said it’s supposed to be a good omen for a great show,” the source was quoted as saying.

It is reported that actress-turned-entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty Kundra will be appearing on the first episode of ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’. She has shared an image of her with the legendary actor on Instagram.  “On the sets with srbachchan, he has an aura about him that makes every heart skip a beat, mine too,” the ‘Dhadkan’ actress posted.

Actress Alia Bhatt will also be featuring on the show.

The 72-year-old actor who began his television journey by hosting a popular show on Star Plus, is returning to the channel after a gap of 15 years. ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ is slated to premiere on October 18.

Although nothing much has been revealed about the concept of show, its trailer gives a glimpse of a fun-filled avatar of Big B in a track suit, who makes a simple ride in an elevator interesting with an impromptu jig and crazy antics.

According to the channel, “They have come together once more to change the grammar of creativity and entertain and inspire a nation.”

It is said Amitabh Bachchan is personally looking into every aspect of the show — be it creative, music and content. He has even recorded the show’s theme song ‘Huu-Haa’ composed by Rohan-Vinayak. The Huu-Haa was the actor’s addition to the track, compose Vinayak Salvi said.
