Mani Ratnam admitted to hospital following cardiac attack


Noted filmmaker Mani Ratnam was admitted to a hospital in Delhi following cardiac problem. He was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi late Tuesday afternoon.

Doctors confirmed that he is being treated for his problem but they refused to divulge any details.

“The family doesn’t want information about his medical condition to be made public so we are not authorised to share any details,” said a hospital authority.

It is learnt that the ace filmmaker was stable and taking rest. When he suffered the attack, he was holidaying with his family in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam’s latest Tamil outing ‘OK Kanmani’ rocked the box-office. It collected Rs 14 crore in just four days of its release on April 15.

Known for Bollywood blockbusters like ‘Saathiya’, ‘Guru’, ‘Raavan’, Mani Ratnam survived cardiac attack during the filming of ‘Yuva’ in 2004.
