Filmmaker Gautham Menon escapes major car accident


Filmmaker Gautham Menon met with an accident on Thursday in Chennai. The accident took place at around 3:30 am at Chennai's East Coast Road.
 
According to report, director Gautham Vasudevan Menon’s car was hit by a tipper lorry on the way to Mahabalipuram, leaving the front part of the car completely damaged. Gautham Menon was luckily escaped with minor injuries.

A case has been registered with the Guindy traffic police and police begins investigation. Report says Gautham Menon was not neither under the influence of alcohol while driving and nor was he speeding.

Gautham Vasudev Menon, popularly known as GVM, is known for his movies like Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010). He has also directed Bollywood films like Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001) and Ekk Deewana Tha (2012).

The filmmaker is currently busy with the shooting of the much-awaited spy-thriller Dhruva Natchathiram, which also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma and Parthipan in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release in April 2018.

Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon is also busy with the romantic thriller Enai Noki Paayum Thota, starring Dhanush and Megha Akash.
