Fawad Khan walks out of Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Battle for Bittora’

Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan who delivered his first Bollywood blockbuster with ‘Khoobsurat’ alongside Sonam Kapoor has walked out of Rhea Kapoor’s production venture ‘Battle for Bittora’.

Rhea Kapoor has now left with the option to make choices among Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan for the male lead.

According to a leading newspaper, Fawad Khan opted out of the movie due to date issues, “The biggest hurdle was the timelines which couldn’t coincide. Sonam was busy in her own projects. Rhea (Kapoor) is working on another pet project called Saat Hindustani. Amidst all this, even I got involved with some work. Rest everything is all conjecture,” explained the actor.

Now, three actors Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan and Saif Ali Khan will be vying for the role and the Kapoor sisters will make the final selection. Whoever fits the bill will be roped in for the ambitious project to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh, and produced by Rhea Kapoor under the banner of Anil Kapoor’s film production company Anil Kapoor Films Company.

'Battle For Bittora' is an intense drama and Sonam Kapoor is likely to play a politician. Meanwhile, she is busy with Sooraj Barjatya's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' with Salman Khan.
