Farhan Akhtar took six years to shoot this shirtless pic. Here’s why
Farhan Akhtar has flaunted his ripped physique in the biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ and he was praised for his portrayal of the legendary splinter. But the actor-filmmaker revealed that he is shy of showing off his body and prefers to cover up while doing photoshoots.
During the chat show ‘Vouge BFFs’ on Colors Infinity, host Kamal Sidhu brought out an old shirtless picture of Farhan clicked by Dabbo Ratnani for his 2016 calendar. Recalling the shooting days, Farhan admitted that he was quite reluctant to pose bare chest and it took about six years for the ace photographer to convince him to shoot the picture.
“It took Daboo about six years of trying to convince me to do a shot for him without my T-shirt on”, the ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ actor said.
Farhan said he that was feeling conscious while doing the shoot because the photographer wanted the show on the side of a road because he liked a certain wall. He further stated that every time Dabboo would approach him to do the photoshoot, he would come up with some or the other excuse to avoid it.
Talking about his unwillingness to pose shirtless, Farhan said, “I don't like that kind of body at all. I much prefer a body when you wear clothes, you don't like you really have much of a physique going on below it.”
However, the photographer finally convinced Farhan to pose bare chest once for the camera and the two clicked this hot picture last year when the actor was shooting for ‘Rock On!! 2’.
"This was last year, while shooting 'Rock On 2', when we came back from Shillong. This is November or December of last year, it was for Daboo's calendar which was this year. There's a lot of diet that's required to even get into shape, for the shot, in particular," Farhan said.
