Farah Khan wishes husband Shirish Kunder as he turns 42


Film editor Shirish Kunder and husband of choreographer-director Farah Khan, celebrated his 42 birthday on Sunday. His wife wished him on Twitter, “Happy birthday @ShirishKunder .. I know ur not 1 for gifts.. So I just bought sm 4 myself.”

Shirsh, born on May 24, 1973 got married to Farah, eight years his senior, in 2004, and the couple have triplets - son Czar and daughters Diva and Anya.

Besides Farah, her brother and Shirish’s brother-in-law Sajid Khan tweeted him: “@ShirishKunder happy bday bro in law..truly one of the wittiest people on twitter…have a gr8 one…”

Other Bollywood celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Punit Malhotra and Vishal Dadlani also wished him and hoped he has a great year ahead.

Primarily a film editor, Shirish is known in Bollywood for his multifaceted skills like direction, production, writing, composing and others. He began his career in the film industry as an editor in 2000 with the film ‘Champion’. He edited films like ‘Om Shanti Om’ ‘Tees Maar Khan’ ‘Main Hoon Na’ ‘Socha Na Tha’ ‘Waqt: The Race Against Time’ ‘Calcutta Mail’ and many others.

His first directorial venture was Jaan-E-Mann in 2006 starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta. Besides editing and composing the background music score, he also wrote the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. He had written the lyrics and composed background music for ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and ‘Joker’ and did the screenplay and dialogues for the films as well as produced them.

He has also donned the hat of sound editor, sound designer and promos designer of films.
