Farah Khan to replace Salman Khan as ‘Bigg Boss 8’ host

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan will be replacing Salman Khan as ‘Bigg Boss 8’ host. Since its inception, Salman Khan has been hosting the show and now the ‘Happy New Year’ director will take the host seat due to Salman’s hectic schedule in January. Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss contract ends on January 4th and the makers have decided to extend the show.

Due to Sallu’s packed schedule, he will not be able to continue as the host of the show. Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor are eventually approached for the show but finally they zeroed on Farah Khan.

“The makers have planned to extend the show for a month. The production team had a meeting with the contestants for almost an hour and discussed the idea of extending the show for a month. Most of the contestants inside have agreed for it,” reveals a source closely associated with the show.

“Salman can’t host the show after the first week of January due to his choc-a-bloc schedule. Hence, after a lot of negotiations, they finally roped in Farah as the host,” adds the source

The superstar has already allotted his dates for Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and so finding time for ‘Bigg Boss 8’ has been a great problem for him.

Television is not new to Farah, she has in the past judged the reality show, 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega'.

Well, there has been no official confirmation about the same but it would be a treat to see Farah Khan hosting ‘Bigg Boss8’. Farah is known for her witty remarks and presence of mind.
