Farah Khan to choreograph Yuvraj Singh’s sangeet
One of the most stylish and celebrated cricketers, Yuvraj Singh is gearing up for his wedding with Bollywood actress Hazel Keech next month. And choreographer-director Farah Khan has declared that she will choreograph for his ‘sangeet’ ceremony.
Farah said this after the all-rounder impressed her with his dancing skills on dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9’.
A report in DNA quoted a source as saying, “Yuvraj was the guest judge on the show. When he was asked to shake a leg on the song ‘Mahi Ve’ from ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, Yuvraj took to the stage without any apprehensions. Farah, who is a judge on the show, has choreographed the song in the film.”
“Watching his performance, she declared, ‘Main kasam khaati hoon ki Yuvraj ka sangeet main choreograph karungi. (I promise to choreograph Yuvraj’s sangeet)’,” the source added.
Yuvraj was on the show to promote his newly launched fashion label YWC. The cricketer launched the premium label at a star-studded event in Mumbai last month, to support his initiative to fight cancer, YOUWECAN Foundation.
Yuvraj and Hazel got engaged in a secret ceremony in Bali in April last year. Hazel is a British national and her mother is a Mauritian Hindu by origin. According to reports, the couple will have multiple venus for wedding.
A traditional gurdwara wedding will take place in Yuvraj’s home town in Chandigarh on November 30, which will be followed by another wedding as per Hindu rituals in Goa on December 2. The sangeet will be held on December 5 at a farmhouse in Chattarpur on the outskirts of Delhi, and a grand reception will be held at a city hotel on December 7.
