Faisal Khan who shot to fame after winning the dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2’ in 2012, showcased his acting skills in the popular television series ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’ where he played the lead role of a young Mararana Pratap.

The 16-year-old lad, who is currently participating in another dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded’, will be making his film debut with a Marathi film titled, ‘Prem Kahani’ the shooting of which is complete, according to a report in Hindustan Times.

Regarding his choice of a Marathi film Faisal said, “I took it up as a challenge. I liked the concept and the script. As an actor, the film has the perfect recipe for me, in terms of acting, action and dance. It’s a performance-oriented role, and I have always been inclined to taking up such characters.”

The film which is based on the concept of reincarnation will see Faisal play the role of a Rajasthani boy Baiju. Since his character in the film is not from the Marathi community, he did not have to learn the language. Faisal will also display his dancing skills in the upcoming film.

Faisal said he was glad at the opportunity and added, “I see this film as a great learning experience. I am hoping to do films in Hindi as well as in other languages soon. I am open to doing good work across all mediums.”
