That he has roped in Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai to head the cast of his first Hindi venture, is also a known fact.

But here's some exclusive info on his first Hindi project, to be produced by Shree Venkatesh Films:-

  • The project in question is titled RAIN COAT.
  • Why an offbeat title like RAIN COAT? Well, the film tells the story of estranged lovers meeting on a rainy afternoon and the game [of words] they play with each other. Hence, the title.
  • The film is an emotional love story.
  • It will be shot in a 15-day start-to-finish schedule, most probably in January/February 2004. Currently, the dates are being finalised.
  • Besides Ajay and Ash, the film will have three supporting characters, which are in the process of finalisation.
  • It's not a songless film [rumour mills had speculated that the film won't have songs!]. The film will have songs for sure. The music director is under finalisation.

Meanwhile, Chivach, a production house that specialises in making feature-films, television programmes, television commercials as well as corporate films, has tied up with Rituparno for directing the commercials as well as videos exclusively for Chivach.

Chivach also organised a special screening of CHOKHER BALI on Monday, November 17 at Fame Adlabs, Andheri, which was attended by some of the big names from the corporate, ad and film world.
