Esha and Bharat’s grand wedding reception
After a grand wedding at Iskcon temple, Dharmendra and Hema Malini threw a grand wedding reception for newly wed Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani on June 30th. The couple looked smashing each other together. Esha Deol wore a pink lehenga choli while Bharat wore a black suit and bow tie.
Politicians and Bollywood fraternities were all seen under one roof. Political bigwigs like LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Ravi Shankar, Raj Thackery and Suresh Kalmadi arrived in the evening. Bollywood celebs turned up after 10pm. Kajol, Tanisha, Tanuja, Rekha, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Sushmita Sen, Jeetendra with his family, Zayed Khan arrived with his wife, Sridevi was seen with husband Boney Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit was spotted with husband Sriram Nene, Zeenat Aman and many more graced the occasion.
Dharmendra and Hema Malini played the perfect host. Esha and Bharat married in a traditional south Indian style on June 29th. Highly overjoyed Dharmendra spoke to the media, "Well, I am very happy, I have got very nice person and nice boy and a very handsome boy for my daughter and we all pray for their very happy married life," said Dharmendra.
Mother and veteran actress Hema Malini thanked all the people who wished Esha and Bharat. "A mother always gives her good wishes and then I am very happy, Esha got married yesterday and today is the reception and I am seeing that people from across India are sending their wishes and I would like to thank everybody who has sent their wishes for us," said Hema Malini.
Esha too is happy as she has got an understanding life-partner. "I am sure it`s going to be amazing because I have an amazing partner who extremely understands," said Esha.
Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen congratulated the newly wed couple and wished them good luck.
"My congratulations to Esha and Bharat, they are extra ordinary people and
they are people that have, well Esha specially has been a support for
everything I have ever done and very special child and she is a lovely child. I
wish her and Bharat a world of happiness, I wish I had attended every single
event that took place prior to this but I was travelling but I know they will
have a divine married life ahead," said Sen.
Sushma Swaraj too wished the
couple. "I would wish that Esha and her husband have a peaceful married
life and both live happily," said Swaraj.
