Engagement Photos: Trisha and Varun officially engaged
Popular Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan got engaged to her boyfriend Varun Manian in a private ceremony on January 23rd in Chennai. The event was attended by close family members and friends. Film fraternities Jayam Ravi and Chinmayi were in attendance to wish the couple on this D-day.
The wedding date is not yet fixed but it is speculated that Trisha will tie the knot with Varun in March this year.
Trisha looked elegant as she was dressed in a traditional attire designed by ace designer duo Neeta and Nishka Lulla with a kundan choker. The members of both the families’ escorted the couple to the stage and then the couple exchanged garlands and rings. It is announced that the wedding will take place in a suitable date in the middle of this year.
Suhasini and Mani Ratnam, who are neighbours and close friends of the Manian family, were the first to arrive. The engagement celebrations will continue further. On Saturday, the couple is planning to host a party.
The actress earlier tweeted, “To my fans n friends from d media, I will be getting engaged to Varun on the 23 of Jan in a very private ceremony between our families (sic).”Trisha also urged her fans not to speculate wedding dates as it is not yet finalized.
"Pls don't speculate about my wedding date as we have not fixed it as yet. And as always you will hear it from me first when we do (sic)," she posted.
Trisha will not quit acting post marriage. She said, I have
no plans of “quitting films”. She has projects lined up for 2015 and will be
seen in movies like ‘Bhoologam’, ‘Yennai Arindhaal’, ‘RUM’, ‘Liona’ and ‘Appa
Takkaru’. She plans on signing two more new films soon.
