Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali bash: Tulsi Virani aka Smriti Irani graces the party
The Czarina of Indian Television, Ekta Kapoor hosted a grand Diwali bash which was graced by celebrities from both film and TV world.
Bollywood stars Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor, Vidya Balan with hubby Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Sunny Leone with husband Daniel Weber and veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor, among others showed up in all their exuberance. Tusshar Kapoor was also spotted at his sister’s Diwali party.
While Sonakshi wore a yellow lehenga, Shraddha, who’ll soon be seen in ‘Rock On!! 2’ rocked in an electric blue lace-gown with a ‘desi’ twist. Rishi Kapoor turned up in a blue pathani suit teamed with a stole. Filmmaker David Dhawan walked in with his wife Karuna at the event, while Jackky Bhagnani was also there sporting a stylish traditional attire.
TV actors Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, Shabbir Ahluwalia and his wife Kanchi Kaul and his ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ co-star Sriti Jha were also spotted. ‘Naagin’ Adaa Khan was seen in a peach outfit, while Krystle D’Souza looked gorgeous in a maroon lehenga and teamed it with a long jacket.
Soon-to-be married actor couple Kishwer Merchant and Suyyash Rai were also present. Mona Singh, Anita Hassanandani, Shruti Seth, Aly Goni, Aparna Dixit, Rohit Roy with wife Mansi Joshi, among many more, graced the star-studded gala.
However, the highlight of the party was the presence of Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani. The former actress-turned-BJP parliamentarian had played the role of the iconic ‘bahu’ Tulsi Virani in the popular soap 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', which ran for almost eight years between 2000-2008.
Smriti was seen in a blue sari as she and the producer of her show Ekta exchanged pleasantries and posed for photographs.
