Ek Paheli Leela: Sunny Leone goes desi in ‘Saiyaan Superstar’

Sunny Leone never ceases to set the screens ablaze with her ultimate hotness. She has proven this once again with her latest number from ‘Ek Paheli Leela’. People had just got a glimpse of this track in the trailer released some time back. Now, ‘Saiyaan Superstar’ is out and features Sunny in yet another sexy avatar. This time she sheds her western looks and goes fully desi.

Sunny sported a western look ‘Pink Lips’ and ‘Baby Doll’. While ‘Desi Look’ from ‘Ek Paheli Leela’ is a fusion song. Now her latest ‘Saiyaan Superstar’ is a desi retro. Looking at this track, one realizes that desi hasn’t ever been so terrific. From the costumes to her expressions – Sunny is just the perfect actress for this number. Her look is a desi one, with a touch of western. The beauty dons golden traditional dress with heavy jewelry and red hot lips along with a bindi to complete her desi form. The western touch is provided by her goggles and of course her bold expressions throughout the song.

Everything about this song ensures splendid entertainment. Tulsi Kumar has lent her vocals and Amaal Malik has done the composition. Though the desi beats and the actress’ looks are definitely good, she could have done better with the moves. The song makers have tried to somewhat recreate Shilpa Shetty’s famous item song ‘Dilwalon Ke Dil Ka Karar Lootne’. While Shipa is definitely the better one in terms of moves, Sunny is the champion when it comes to looks.  ‘Saiyaan Superstar’ would have been more of a hit if Sunny had worked more on her steps. Anyway, this damsel’s unmatched beauty and hotness very well make the song one of the best desi tracks Bollywood has had in a long time.

Besides ‘Saiyaan Superstar’, the filmmakers have recreated famous looks of the past throughout the movie. They have apparently been inspired by Zeenat Aman’s bold avatars she has sported many a times during her filmy career, especially in ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’. Director Bobby Khan confirmed this, “The way SSS captured Zeenatji’s beauty was beautiful. When I bounced the idea off Sunny, she immediately approved. However, Sunny Leone’s look is more demure as compared to Zeenatji’s bold topless avatar. Sunny would never go topless and neither would I let her. Our film has glamour but we’ve kept Indian sentiments in mind, which is why she wore a spaghetti top with her sari.”
