Eid gift: ‘Raees’ director reveals new dialogue from SRK’s film
Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’, which was originally slated to hit screens in July on Eid, has been postponed to release on January 26. Hence, the film’s director Rahul Dholakia, in order to quench the thirst of fans a bit, has revealed an interesting dialogue from the film on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
On Tuesday, September 13, the ‘Parzania’ director took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Chalo eid pe film Nahi, Ek Chhota sa dialogue hi Sahi: ‘Gussa shaitaan Ka Hunar hai, issliye haraam hai’ #raees @RaeesTheFilm #EidMubaarak.”
The teaser of the film released earlier in July also had another such dialoge, “Baniya ka dimaag, miyaan bhai ki daring.” The lines also appear in the posters of the film that has been unveiled.
In the crime-drama, Shah Rukh will be seen in the role of a Gujarat-based bootlegger who later joins politics. His character is said to be loosly based on Ahmedabad-based don Abdul Latif who ran the illicit liquor business in the state during the peak of Prohibition in the 1990s.
The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of a police officer, while Pakistani actress Mahira Khan will be making her Bollywood debut.
The film will now release on Republic Day and clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Kaabil’.
