‘Dolly Ki Doli’ earns 5 crore in the opening day

Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ failed to impress critics as well as the audience. The film opened with mixed reviews and only manages to earn Rs 4-5 crore in the opening day. Starring Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma in lead roles, the film has been allotted around 1600 - 1700 screens and has opened to an average occupancy.

‘Dolly Ki Doli’ off to a slow start despite good promotions by the lead stars on various shows. Being a holiday on Monday also, the film might show some good result. In Northern India the occupancy was around 15-20%, but in Gujarat, Maharashtra and UP, it was registered low.

Directed by Abhishek Dogra and produced by Arbaaz Khan under his production house Arbaaz Khan Productions, ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ revolves around the character Dolly (Sonam Kapoor), who is a young con bride, marries men from different religions and runs away with their wealth.
