‘Dishoom’ trailer: John Abraham, Varun Dhawan on an action-packed mission

The trailer of action-adventure film ‘Dishoom’ directed by veteran filmmaker David Dhawan’s elder son Rohit Dhawan is out. The movie features Rohit’s brother Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna who will be seen on screen after a gap of four years. He was last seen in the 2012 comedy ‘Gali Gali Chor Hai’ which did not do well at the box office.

Varun took to Twitter to unviel the trailer with and posted, “HERE WE GO #dishoom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU6IdS2gVog … #rohitdhawan #sajidnadiadwala #dhawanandabraham.”

As the three-minute-long trailer begins, Akshaye’s voice is heard speaking about India’s top batsman Viraj Sharma scoring enormous runs against opponents. Akshaye plays the role of a gangster named Waagha who kidnaps Viraj, played by Saqib Saleem, 36 hours before the final match between India and Pakistan.

As Viraj goes missing in the Middle East, two cops from either side of the Arabian Sea team up for a 36 hour manhunt. John as Kabir Shergill, a Special Task Force officer is joined by Varun’s Junaid Ansari in their mission to rescue Viraj. They enlist the help of Jacqueline who has two identities as R&AW agent Parvati and ISI agent Pakeezah, but works for herself.

From the look of the trailer, the movie appears to be action filled as the trio hunts for the culprit in choppers, motor-boats, bikes and swanky cars in some well-choreographed action sequences. Varun’s presence adds the humour element. A glimpse of bikini-clad Nargis Fakhri, who plays a cameo, is also seen.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘Dishoom’ is set to release on July 29.
