‘Dishoom’ shooting rescheduled due to John Abraham’s Knee injury

The makers of upcoming action film ‘Dishoom’ have decided to reshuffle its shooting schedule as John Abraham, who is recuperating after a knee injury, has been advised rest by doctors.

The film being directed by veteran director David Dhawan’s elder son Rohit Dhawan went on floors in June this year and the ‘Dhoom 3’ actor has almost completed shooting for the first schedule. The second schedule has some heavy action sequences, which John won’t be able to shoot until his knee gets better.

A leading daily quoting a source said, "The film's producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, and director Rohit Dhawan, have decided to swap the upcoming schedules." As per the revised plan, John will film all the dialogue-heavy portions of the movie, which will consist of close-up shots, in Mumbai in November.

"The action sequences, which were meant to be shot in Abu Dhabi, UAE, have been postponed. This will give John enough time to recover. The action scenes will be filmed later, when John is completely fine," as per the source.

The 42-year-old actor had hurt his knee while filming an action scene for Abhinay Deo’s sequel film ‘Force 2’, in Budapest earlier this month. Doctors performed a minor surgery on his right knee and advised him to take rest.

The action sequences are tentatively scheduled to be shot in February next year, the report revealed.

‘Dishoom’ also stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles, apart from John. The film marks the return of Akshaye Khanna on screen after a gap of four years. He was last seen in 2012 comedy film ‘Gali Gali Chor Hai’, which did not do well at the box office.
