Dilip Kumar tweets ‘feeling brighter and better’

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Mumbai Lilavati hospital owing to respiratory problems, is stable and doing fine and is likely to be discharged in another two days. Doctor said on April 18.

The 93-year-old actor thespian was rushed to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra after his condition worsen.  

"There have been some rumours about Dilip Kumar's condition, but they are not true at all. He is fully conscious and has shown remarkable improvement. He is not in the ICU or on ventilator, but in his room. He will be discharged in another three days," Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital told reporters here.

The actor is stable and is also having his food properly, the doctor added.

Meanwhile, Dilip Saab thanked his fans and followers on Twitter for their prayers:

"Dilip Sahab was admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment of high fever and chest infection on April 15 night. He was advised intravenous administration of antibiotics for speedy recovery," said Saira Banu in a statement earlier.

Debuted with 1944 movie ‘Jwar Bhatta', he was presented with Padma Vibushan in 2015 by Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Known as the "tragedy king", Dilip Kumar was honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994.
