Dilip Kumar discharged from hospital but still on nasal feed

After two weeks of stay at Mumbai Lilavati hospital, thespian Dilip Kumar is out of hospital. But he is still on nasal feed. Doctors have not yet allowed him oral feed and said that they will take a call on whether to remove the nasal feed after few days.

"So far so good. Dilip saab is out of danger. His vital parameters are stable," says a source. Is he out of danger? "Yes, no cause of immediate worry," the source revealed.

A few days before he was admitted, a large amount of food entered his lungs and the doctors still feel that he should not be given any type of food orally until he fully recovers.

When Dilip Kumar was admitted in the first week of this month, his family friend Faisal Farooqui, who usually handles Dilip Kumar's Twitter account informed that Dilip Saab has been admitted to Lilavati hospital due to chest infection and breathlessness. "Saab has been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital as he was bit uneasy due to a chest infection. He's recuperating. Requesting your duas and prayers," read the tweet.

Dilip Kumar, who will celebrate his 96th birthday in December this year has been in and out of the hospital for the past few years due to age-related disease. Needless to say, his dearest wife and veteran actress Saira Banu is by his side.

Meanwhile, Faisal Farooqui again shared Dilip Kumar’s health status "Due to advance age, Saab has been routinely visiting the hospital for overall health care and health management."

Dilip Kumar’s close friend informed, “Dilip sahib has a great power to recover and bounce back. We are optimistic that he will be in a state to go home in the next 3-4 days.”

Here’s wishing the veteran actor best of health!
