Dilip Kumar is recovering, will soon be shifted out of ICU


Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Mumbai Lilavati hospital following swollen legs, cough and cold is recovering well, as per doctor. He will soon be shifted from ICU. "Dilip Kumar is fine and recovering, soon he will be shifted out of the ICU," DrJalil Parkar said.

“He is doing much better now. But he will be in hospital today and tomorrow as we want to get his body profile done. The doctors here are taking good care of him,” Saira told PTI.

“He will get his body spa done and then he will have his tea..He is doing well”., added Saira Banu.

Dilip Kumar also tweeted about his health, “Feeling much better now. Was admitted to Lilavati hospital for a routine checkup. Your prayers are with me.”

Saira Banu wished to take Dilip Kumar home before his 94th birthday on Sunday, “I was anyway planning to take him for a routine check-up, but the swelling alarmed me. He was also complaining of cold and cough. I don’t ignore anything even remotely suspicious when it comes to Dilip saab’s health. The doctors are examining him; he’s under observation. He’s very comfortable with the team here. I just hope there is nothing serious. Inshallah, I will take him home before his birthday on Sunday.”

Dilip Saab, who will turn 94 on Sunday was admitted to the same Mumbai hospital after complaining of respiratory problems on April 16.

Last seen in film ‘Qila’ in 1998, Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
