'Dhoom 3' trailer: Countdown starts on Youtube

Now that’s how buzz is created. ‘Dhoom 3’ which is scheduled for December 20th release, is leaving no stone unturned in keeping the excitement level high of the audience. The trailer of ‘Dhoom 3’ will be released today, on 30th October at 6 pm IST. For the last four days, the makers of the movie have uploaded countdown videos on youtube.

In its description, the movie was advertised as, “Apart from Aamir Khan, who plays the anti-hero in the film, and Katrina Kaif, both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their now iconic roles of Jai Dixit and Ali.”

With four days to go for the release of the trailer they showed supercop Jai played by Abhishek Bachchan. A few stills of Abhishek Bachchan from the movie were shown.

With three days to go, they showed ace biker Ali played by Uday Chopra. A few stills of the actor were shown.

With two days to go, it was acrobat diva, Aaliya played by Katrina Kaif. A few clicks of the actress in acrobatic posture were meant to tantalize viewers.

With one day to go, it was Ammir Khan as Sahir, the clown thief. His muscular body leaning against a super bike was shown.

The four days countdown was enough to pull viewer’s attention to the release of the trailer. According to industry experts, the new trailer is bound to receive unprecedented views from the viewers.

‘Dhoom 3’ is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The movie is the third offering from popular ‘Dhoom’ series. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra have been constant in all the three movies. The first ‘Dhoom’ movie was released in 2004 and John Abraham played the antagonist role. ‘Dhoom 2’ was released in 2006 and the role of antagonist was played by Hrithik Roshan.

‘Dhoom 3’ will be released in both 2D and IMAX formats. This is the first Bollywood movie to be produced in the IMAX format. The film has a production budget of Rs.150 crores.

While shooting for the last scene of the movie, everyone got emotional. The last scene was filmed on 14th September at a suburban studio in Mumbai.  An industry insider revealed, “Aamir was the only actor from the lead cast who was present at a suburban studio for the final shoot. As Victor (Vijay Krishna Acharya, director) was shooting the last scene, the atmosphere got extremely emotional. After it got over, there was a round of applause that didn't stop for almost 10 minutes. Everyone got extremely teary-eyed.”
