Deepika Singh aka Sandhya of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ is pregnant
Television actress Deepika Singh, who played the role of IPS officer Sandhya Rathi in popular Star Plus show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, is pregnant. Deepika and her director hubby director Rohit Raj Goyal are expecting their first child. The couple tied the knot in 2014.
Deepika, who has just completed her first trimester, was quoted by a leading daily as saying, “"I had gone out of town for a holiday and fell sick. I had to return and consult my doctor. That's when he gave us the good news about my pregnancy.”
“My parents, in-laws and husband are extremely happy. Having a baby is such a beautiful experience, which I feel is unique for every woman. Both Rohit and I are looking forward to this new phase in our lives and pray to God that everything turns out to be good this year,” she added.
The lovely actress will be next seen in a web series titled ‘The Real Soulmate’, which is directed by her husband.
Recently, TV couple Karan Mehra and wife Nisha Rawal also revealed that they were expecting their first child. Karan is known for his role as Naitik in Star Plus soap ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. He had also participated in the ongoing season of reality show ‘Bigg Boss’.
