Deepika Padukone working with Vin Diesel in ‘xXx 3’?
Rumours are rife that Deepika Padukone, who recently mentioned that she is open to doing Hollywood projects, has auditioned for the new 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ film starring Vin Diesel.
The actress has dropped a hint regarding this by posting a picture of her hugging the Hollywood star on Twitter. The snapshot has ‘The Fast and the Furious’ star with his back to the camera as Deepika looks up from his shoulder and a logo of ‘xXx’ in the backdrop.
In 2013, Deepika was reportedly offered a role in the seventh instalment of the action franchise ‘The Fast and the Furious’, but it couldn’t happen. The actress was apparently neck deep with her Bollywood commitments.
She was then busy shooting for ‘Happy New Year’ and had also given her dates to ‘Goliyoon Ki Raasleela, Ram-Leela’. So, she had no choice but to decline the role. However, Deepika has no regrets over not being able to work in the blockbuster movie.
Some time ago Deepika had revealed that she was ready to explore work in the West. Talking to reporters at the week-long Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival heldin October-November, the 29-year-old actress had said, “I am interested in doing Hollywood films. I am ready to explore opportunities in the West and if something interesting comes along, I don’t mind taking it up.”
According to reports, the third movie of the action series ‘xXx’ is underway and Vin Diesel will return to the cast after a gap of 13 years. He was part of the first film in 2002, but was not present in ‘xXx: State of The Union’ which released in 2005.
Now, with Deepika’s pictorial revelation on the social platform, there is a possibility that the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress will be cast in the film.
