Deepika Padukone spotted at airport; leaves for ‘xXx’ worldwide release

Deepika Padukone has been lately keeping extremely busy for the promotion of her Hollywood debut ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’. The actress and her co-star Vin Diesel arrived in Mumbai on Thursday morning (Jan 12) for the Indian premiere of the action flick. And the actress has already taken off for the worldwide release of the movie.

The film hit Indian theatres today (Jan 14), and is set to release worldwide next weekend on January 20.

Deepika was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Friday night. The tall actress was stylish in black pants and high-neck top and heeled boots, and wore a green overcoat. Talking to reporters, she said that she hasn’t had the time to talk to anyone who saw the film for a feedback, but said she would check her phone to see audience reaction once she lands.

"I haven't had the time to talk to anyone who has seen the film. I am happy for whoever came, they came to support and encourage. We are so happy with the turnout of the media, and all our fans have been so amazing in these two days. Vin just left a while ago and he was so happy and overwhelmed by everything that India had to offer," Deepika said.

Vin and Deepika were welcomed in traditional Maharashtrian style with aarti and tilak amidst the music of dhols and tutaris. Accompanied by director DJ Caruso the ‘xXx’ team met the press and held a grand premiere of the film on Thursday at Phoenix Mall, which was attended by her fans and Bollywood bigwigs like Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar.

Later, she hosted a grand bash in honour of the Hollywood action star, who was visiting India for the first time.
