Watch: Deepika Padukone sizzles in ‘Lovely’ teaser

The buzz around the upcoming diwali release ‘Happy New Year’ is steadily growing. After SRK wowed fans with his chiseled eight-pack abs look, it is now time for the leading lady Deepika Padukone to mesmerize us.  The music of the film was launched officially on 15th September and at the same event a teaser for a new song from the film was also released. The song is titled ‘Lovely’ and has been sung by Kanika Kapoor of ‘Baby Doll’ fame and UK based Indian rapper Dr. Zeus.

The 30 second teaser opens with the crowd chanting ‘Mohini’ (the name of Deepika’s character in the film) the focus then shifts on the stage where Deepika is seen in a striking gold outfit that complements her toned figure. The teaser ends with a shot of her face where she is looking seductive with smokey eyes.

Deepika is currently the talk of the town after her outburst against a leading daily after it posted a video of her cleavage on its online portal. She posted a series of angry messages on her Twitter account.  They are as follows, "Supposedly India's 'LEADING' newspaper and this is 'NEWS'!!?? (sic)'’…“Dont talk about Woman's Empowerment when YOU don't know how to RESPECT Women!” …“YES!I am a Woman.I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!??” Her tough stand has found overwhelming support from the Bollywood fraternity as well as the general public. Her co-star from Happy New Year’, Shahrukh Khan also spoke out in her favor. He said, "Let's not make that a conversational topic as many girls are present here in the event. Whatever Deepika tweeted I do support and all the cast of HNY will support that. We don't have the guts to do what she has done but we support her. We all feel for her. We should not trivialise the issue.”

A few days ago Deepika had also spoken out about another sensitive issue. Reacting about the recent sex scandal involving actress Shweta Basu Prasad, Deepika said, "Let me put it this way - if that was the only thing she could do to support herself and family and it was the only way she could make money, there's nothing wrong with that…Like a lot of people saying, I think it's extremely unfair. Since we know who she is, why are we not supporting her? Why are we making this a scandal? Instead, now that we know she has these issues, why don't we step forward and help her? Why do we not talk about the people who hired her to do what she's doing? I don't think we should look down on her for it but instead get together and support her."
