Deepika Padukone gifts Rs 40 crore flat to the 'special man' in her life
Deepika Padukone, who purchased her plush 4BHK apartment in Beaumonde Towers in Prabhadevi a few years ago, has now brought another flat in the same building for the most special man in her life.
The new flat, number 3001 on the 30th floor, has cost the actress a whopping Rs. 40 crore. Deepika currently stays in her 26th floor sprawling home in the same tower, which she brought for Rs. 16 crore, way back in 2010.
The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress is now getting the place done up, before she gifts it to the person she brought it for. And the special person is none other than her father, former badminton champion Prakash Padukone.
The new apartment will be home to her parents, once they are stationed in Mumbai. They currently live in Bangalore.
A report in SpotboyE mentioned a source as saying that Prakash Padukone was impressed by the beautiful complex, which has walking trails, swimming pools as well as badminton and squash courts. And Deepika decided that it will be a perfect fit for her health-conscious dad.
Deepika is one of the few actresses who have chosen to stay in central Mumbai, unlike other Bollywood stars who prefer to stay in the posh suburbs between Bandra and Andheri, where most of the studios and offices of production houses are located.
On the work front, Deepika has begun shooting for her next Bollywood film ‘Padmavati’, which is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She will be next seen in her Hollywood debut film ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ opposite Vin Diesel, which releases on January 20 next year.
