Dear Zindagi Take 4: Shah Rukh, Alia ask to set our emotions free ‘

Dear Zindagi’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, has released its fourth and final teaser or take. It is about releasing our bottled-up emotions and is aptly titled ‘Set Free’.

The little over one minute teaser begins in the voice of Shah Rukh explaining that as a child, a person is conditioned to restrict his/her emotions, and hence, as an adult, one finds it difficult to express love. Simultaneously, Alia is seen sad and upset, crying and wiping away tears, venting her anger/frustration by breaking jars at a departmental store.

Shah Rukh, who plays the role of Jehangir Khan, life coach to Alia’s Kaira, says that when a child wants to cry, he/she is asked to wipe away tears, when angry, he/she is asked to smile, and the child has no permission to express hatred. And by the time one grows up and wants to express love, the emotional system has already botched and cannot function.

Towards the end of the teaser, both the actors are cycling and Shah Rukh quotes Albert Einstein explaining that a person should not expect different results by doing the same things every day.

‘Dear Zindagi’ Take 4 is quite different from the previous three teasers titled ‘Life is a Game’, ‘Always Recycle’, and ‘Love. Break Up. Repeat’ respectively. The earlier teasers had the song ‘Love You Zindagi’, while the final teaser features the song ‘Just Go to Hell Dil’.

Directed by Gauri Shinde, ‘Dear Zindagi’ also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar. The slice-of-life film is set to hit theatres on November 25.
