‘Dangal’ song: Aamir Khan is a strict father in ‘Haanikaraak Bapu'
The first song from Aamir Khan-starrer highly anticipated film ‘Dangal’ is out and it is titled ‘Haanikaraak Bapu’, meaning ‘dangerous father. The actor himself shared the link of the song with a tweet writing “Here's our chance to get back at our Haanikaarak fathers.”
‘Dangal’ is a sports biopic in which Aamir plays the role of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita to be wrestling champions and earn laurels for the country.
The song is from the perspective of the two young girls, played by Zaira Wasim from Kashmir and Suhani Bhatnagar from Delhi, who think that their father is torturing them. The video has Aamir playing a strict father looking into the diet and exercise regimen of his on-screen daughters, whom he wants to groom into wrestlers. The two girls are seen giving up their girlie dresses for shorts, tees and shoes, running in the field, as their father follows on a scooter to keep an eye. They want to enjoy like other girls of their age and plead to their mother, played by Sakshi Tanwar, to save them, but their father has his way.
It is a fun song composed by Pritam and crooned by Sarwar Khan and Sartaz Khan Barna. The lyrics by Amitabh Bhatacharya brings a smile on the lips of the listeners/viewers. The song makes one recall childhood days.
Newcomers Sanaya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh play the roles of the grown-up Geeta and Babita in the movie. Directed by Nitish Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ will hit theatres on December 23.
