‘Dangal’ of superstars: Salman Khan hates Aamir Khan

Salman Khan’s wrestling-based film ‘Sultan’ became a blockbuster and is currently the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year. Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’, on the other hand, which released today, has received rave reviews from critics and other who have watched its preview screening, and have called it one of the best films of the year.

But this has made the ‘Sultan’ actor to publicly confess that he hates Aamir Khan professionally. Of course, there is no bad blood between the ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ co-stars. It is only Salman’s way of appreciating his professional rival’s work.

Salman took to his Twitter handle on Thursday late night and wrote, “My Family saw #Dangal today evening and thought it was a much better film than #Sultan. Love u personally Aamir but hate u professionally!”

Responding to Salman’s tweet, Mr. Perfectionist wrote, “Replying to Salman’s tweets, Aamir replied, “@BeingSalmanKhan Sallu, in your “hate” I feel only love. ‘I love you like I hate you’.”

Both ‘Sultan’ and ‘Dangal’ revolves around wrestling and when the films were announced, it had the audience wondering about how different or similar the two films would be. ‘Sultan’ released in July and it was a fictional tale about an Olympic gold medallist, his fall from stardom and his chance at redemption.

Things got further cleared when the trailer of biopic ‘Dangal’ released. The Nitish Tiwari directorial deals with the true story of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who grooms his daughters to become world class wrestlers and fulfil his dream of winning medals for the country.
