Sonakshi Sinha to judge ‘Nach Baliye 8’; participants' names out

Sonakshi Sinha has been finalised to be a judge on celebrity dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 8’. Popular choreographer Saroj Khan and Terence Lewis are the other judges on the panel. It is the Sonakshi’s second appearance on television, after being a judge on singing reality show ‘Indian Idol Junior 2’.

Sonakshi confirmed this by posting her pictures from the photoshoot of the show with the caption, “Glamtime for #NachBaliye8!!! Yep my second outing on TV and im so excited!!! Styled by @mohitrai (tap for credits) for the photoshoot today! Hair and Makeup @niluu9999 #sonastylefile #nachbaliye8.”

Talking to reporters, the actress said, “I am going to judge a dance reality show for the first time. I have judged children for a singing reality show. I really get along with children so it was easy. Here it will be a different experience for me and for the contestants as well.”

While ‘Indian Idol Junior’ had common people as contestants, ‘Nach Baliye 8’ will have celebrity couples as participants. However, the change in nature of contestants will not affect Sonakshi’s way of measuring the performances.

“I don’t know if I am a cautious person per say because I am real and honest. If I like or dislike, it shows on my face. That’s something people like and relate with. But I also know how to put my thoughts in a nice way so that no one is offended,” the actress, who is gearing up for the release of her film ‘Noor’ next month, said.

‘Nach Baliye 8’ is scheduled to air later this month and will be hosted by Karan Tacar and Upasana Singh. Eleven couples will be participating in the show and they include, Divyanka Tripathi-Vivek Dahiya; Sanaya Irani-Mohit Sehgal; Karam Rajpal-Shivaleeka Oberoi; Rohan Mehra-Kanchi Singh; Dipika Kakar-Shoaib Ibrahim; Arjun Bijlani-Neha Swami; Drashti Dhami-Neeraj Khemka; RJ Pritam Singh-Amanjot Kaur; Antara Biswas/Monalisa-Vikrant Singh Rajpoot; Vikas Manaktala-Gunjan Walia; Sanam Johar-Abigail Pande; Keith Sequeira-Rochelle Rao.
