Confirmed! Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu in ‘Judwaa 2’

The makers of ‘Judwaa 2’ have finally found suitable female cast for the sequel to the 1997 cult comedy ‘Judwaa’ starring Salman Khan. According to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu have been roped in for the film.

While Jacqueline will step into the shoes of the bubbly Karishma Kapoor from the original, the ‘Pink’ actress will play a more mature and docile character that was originally portrayed by Rambha. The duo will be starring opposite Varun Dhawan, who will play a double role.

Jacqueline and Varun have previously worked together in ‘Dishoom’, while he will be teaming up with Taapsee for the first time. Reportedly, Salman will also have a cameo appearance in the sequel as the ‘godfather-gunda’ to Varun's twins.

The script for the sequel is being written by duo Sajid-Farhad and it is generously peppered with ‘tapori’ slang and the movie will also have a remix of the chartbuster ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’ from the original.

‘Judwaa 2’ is expected to go on floors by mid-2017 and will be directed by Varun’s father David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, who have also directed and produced the original. The makers are targeting September, 2017 for releasing the sequel.

David Dhawan has previously directed son Varun in ‘Mein Tera Hero’.
