Confirmed: It’s winter wedding for Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh


This coming winter, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be husband and wife. Their respective parents have zeroed in four dates between September and December and now the couple is to make the final call keeping in mind their work commitments. Now both the families are looking out for the venues, India and abroad.

“It will be an extremely private, traditional Hindu ceremony with the couple tying the knot in the presence of only close friends and family. The couple is still deciding if they want a reception to follow,” a source told the daily.

Deepika loves designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s outfits. In couple of occasions, she has worn Sabyasachi’s fabulous saree and for her wedding also she might opt for the designer’s collection.

As per report, Deepika’s parents met Ranveer’s parents in Mumbai and fixed the tentative wedding dates. 'Deepika's parents flew down to Mumbai from Bangalore last week to zero down on the wedding date. The meeting took place at the actress' Prabhadevi residence post which the couple, along with their families, headed to Four Seasons, Worli, for dinner.''

"Ranveer and Deepika wanted a destination wedding, but, the actor's parents are keen it takes place in Mumbai. Reason? Most of Singh family's relatives live in Mumbai and Delhi and they do not want them to miss out on the celebrations." 

Adds the source, "The wedding will take place as per South Indian rituals and high profile venues such as Taj Lands End, Four Seasons and St Regis are being considered as the venue. The wedding ceremony will be followed by a grand reception." 

''What's more, Deepika has already begun shopping for D-Day”, informed a source.

 Ranveer and Deepika have been together for more than five years and going steady. They met on the set of ‘Ram Leela’ and since then they are inseparable.
