Complaint against ‘Mastizaade’ stars Sunny Leone, Vir Das

Sunny Leone starrer latest sex comedy ‘Mastizaade’ is in trouble with complaints filed against the movie and its cast and crew. The screening of the movie was also protested by some right wing organisations.

Advocate Gaurav Gulati registered a complaint against Sunny Leone and Vir Das in Delhi. As per the complaint, the actors were seen promoting condom inside a temple in a vulgar manner in the movie.

Gulati had earlier filed a case against Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for allegedly wearing shoes in a set-up of a temple while shooting for ‘Bigg Boss 9’.

In another incident, an Army personnel filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission, the Central Board of Film Certification and the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, seeking a ban on ‘Mastizaade’.

According to the complainant Sanmukh Rao, some parts of the film allegedly diminish the dignity of wives and mothers of the Army men on duty. His wife Vasudha Soni also filed a separate complaint with National Commission for Women over the alleged indignity, according to a report in a regional daily.

Rao claimed that the fundamental right of the Army men and women members of their families has been violated in the film which hurt the sentiments of Indian Army personnel and their families. He sought a ban on the movie on the internet as well as in theatres besides imposition of a penalty on the authorities concerned who issued a no-objection certificate to the movie.

The complaint added that the Army should be compensated and immediate action be taken to save the reputation and dignity of the wives and mothers of the Army personnel.
