‘Come back, Ma’: Arjun Kapoor pens teary note on mother’s death anniversary

On mother Mona Kapoor’s 7th death anniversary, son Arjun Kapoor pens emotional note. Sharing a childhood picture of him with his mother, the actor wrote, "You were my smile and I hope wherever you are I make you smile still... it’s been 7 years since you left us and all your son is asking you is come back na, please(sic)."

Arjun Kapoor lost his mom to cancer on March 25, 2012, days before the release of Arjun’s Bollywood debut movie ‘Ishaqzaade’.

In December last year, Anshula wrote in an Instagram post, "Come back na Ma . Can you ever become too old to stop needing your mom’s hugs? Being an adult is hard, but it sucks extra hard on some days. Today is one such day where all I want is to have kadi chaawal with mom & hear her laugh one more time. Miss you Ma. #AlwaysAndForever."

On Mona's birthday this year, Anshula wrote, "Happy birthday Ma you were and always will be my strongest & loudest cheerleader, my biggest source of strength, and the one person I could always count on to be in my corner. You built me wings when I didn’t know I could or even needed to fly.. and you always, always became the wind beneath those wings whenever you saw that I needed that little extra push. Miss you ma (as if that isn’t the biggest understatement of the decade).. even though I’m grateful for the 21 years I got you by my side. We carry you in our hearts every second of every day, and I truly hope that wherever you are, you’re happy & getting to spread all your joy & love with everyone around you.. Rab Raakha #AlwaysMyNumber1 #AlwaysAndForever".
